Data protection

Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and Swiss federal data protection legislation provide that every person has the right to privacy and protection from misuse of their personal data. The Swiss federal authorities strictly adhere to these rules. Your personal data will be handled in a strictly confidential manner and will not be sold or transferred to third parties.

We work closely with our hosting providers to protect against unauthorised access to our databases and to prevent the loss, misuse or falsification of data.

The following data is recorded when you access our website: IP address, date, time, browser request and general information regarding your operating system and browser.

The Swiss federal authorities may use this data to carry out anonymised statistical analyses in order to identify trends that can be used to optimise our service. The Federal Act on the Surveillance of Postal and Telecommunications Traffic (SPTA) stipulates that connection data must be retained for at least six months.

We use the web analytics tool Matomo (formerly Piwik) to optimise our online content. Your data will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed to third parties.
However, these rules do not apply if you contact us. If you register your email address, it will be stored in a separate database which is not linked to the anonymous data log. You can cancel your registration at any time.

You can opt out of having your activity tracked on this website. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
