And Goodbye UK

Night was falling over London, and the great Olympic adventure came to a close with a breathtaking ceremony at the Olympic park; and here, at the House of Switzerland. At midnight Manuel Salchli, the Director of the House of Switzerland, closed the gates of the Red Zone for good, just when the Olympic torch was extinguished in Stratford. Despite the looming final "goodbye" for the whole team in the House of Switzerland, there were many happy faces to be seen during the day, especially when Nino Schurter won his silver medal in mountain biking.

At this point we’d like to give a shout out and thank every single member of our team, each and every one of our partners as well as the Southwark residents for the amazing support and cooperation. Without all of you, this could not have been done! It was a huge project and thanks to all of you, we can call it a success.
