The Maison Suisse at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games transformed the Swiss Embassy gardens into a vibrant public meeting place.
Through gastronomy, culture, tourism, exhibitions and live screenings, it celebrated Swiss excellence and Franco-Swiss ties.
With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, it also showcased Swiss businesses, initiatives and products.
Close to the Invalides in the 7th arrondissement, the centrally-located Embassy of Switzerland in France has hosted the Maison Suisse in its gardens.
The publicly-accessible hospitality house in this unique location has served as a special meeting point, where common values and interests were cultivated and visitors could discover and experience Switzerland in all its diversity – through a creative gastronomy concept, tourism presentations, activities for young and old, and exhibitions, as well as a rich cultural programme featuring concerts with both Swiss and local musicians and DJs.
Sports enthusiasts could watch the games and celebrate the medals brought home by the Swiss athletes.
With the Paris 2024 pledge to make these games "the most sustainable of all time", the Maison Suisse was also focusing on sustainability and innovation in the implementation of its concept and presence in France.
Working closely with partners from the public and private sectors, it showcased Switzerland's strengths by housing Swiss initiatives and products. In so doing, the Maison Suisse has served as a platform for promoting business and trade opportunities.
