Polish Presidency of the EU Council and Swiss-Polish Relations

In January 2025, Poland has taken over the Presidency of the EU Council in a crucial semester of Europe’s security and geopolitical situation, as well as for Swiss-Polish and Swiss-EU relations. In this event, Swiss and Polish officials and business experts from the highest levels meet in direct conversations, providing insight into the political, economic, and security outlook on Swiss-Polish relations and Europe.

The event is organised by the Embassy of Switzerland in Poland (FDFA), in partnership with Ringier Axel Springer Polska, the Centre of International Relations Foundation, and THINKTANK Leaders Hub.

Conversation with Undersecretary of State Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, moderated by Aleksandra Karasińska.

2. Session: Science and Education: Making Europe More Innovative and Competitive
Conversation between State Secretary Martina Hirayama, Secretary of State Dariusz Standerski and Undersecretary of State Andrzej Szeptycki, moderated by Prof. Małgorzata Bonikowska.

3. Session: Global Economy and Geopolitical Outlook 2025
Conversation between State Secretary Helene Budliger Artieda and a Polish government representative, moderated by Mikołaj Kunica.

Panel Discussion: Bilateral Business, Tech, and Innovation Exchange
Panel discussion with Swiss and Polish business representatives including Simone Wyss Fedele (S-GE), Philipp Brunner (Stadler), Lutz Hegemann (Novartis), Adam Niewiński (OTB Ventures) and Aleksander Kutela (RASP), moderated by Katarzyna Dębek.
