Titlis Rotair

The holiday destination of Engelberg is located just 35 km from Lucerne. The picturesque trip from Lucerne to Engelberg takes less than an hour by train and just 40 minutes by road.

Titlis Rotair Cableways offer guests an interesting, 45-minute journey via three different cable cars from Engelberg at 1,050 m right up to the top of Mount Titlis at 3,020 m.

The world's first revolving gondola, Rotair, transports its passengers from the glacier station at Stand (2,500 m) across the imposing Titlis glacier, reaching heights of more than 3,000 m. From the Titlis summit station, visitors enjoy breathtaking views over the stunning mountain panorama. Additional attractions include a ride on the Ice Flyer glacier chairlift, the unique Alpine glacier park complete with its own snow tubing runs and the fascinating, magically lit glacier grotto.

With its 25 lifts and 80 km of pistes, the resort of Engelberg – Titlis is the largest winter sport resort in central Switzerland. Titlis Rotair with its glacier and modern snowmaking facilities offers guaranteed snow from November to May.

Titlis Rotair is one of the largest cable car companies in Switzerland with various restaurants located between the valley station Engelberg (1,050 m) and Mount Titlis (3,020 above sea-level) as well as the Hotel Trübseehof next to the Trübsee middle station (1,800 m).

Hotel Terrace in Engelberg also belongs to Titlis Rotair Cableways. With 168 rooms (373 beds), Hotel Terrace is the largest 3-star hotel in central Switzerland.
