Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver

The Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver represents Swiss people and the interests of Swiss citizens, particularly in Vancouver and Western Canada. Apart from handling the Consular issues of our registered citizenship, the Consulate General of Switzerland strives to strengthen and build Swiss-Canadian relations by supporting bi-lateral business activities and assist in creating joint cultural and social events.

The territorial jurisdiction includes the Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Switzerland has a long and dynamic history in Canada, and in this district alone Switzerland has made a significant impact, resulting in more than 13,000 Swiss citizens and their families being registered with the Consulate General.

Regarding the Olympic Winter Games and the House of Switzerland,  the Consulate General of Switzerland got involved since the beginning of the project dealing with various requests and permits, and proposing different locations that would have been suitable for the House of Switzerland. The Consulate General of Switzeland works closely with FDFA, General Secretariat, Presence Switzerland and their partner organisations to realize a successful and sustainable project.
