Rules and Regulations
TO ENTER the Swiss Quiz, fill out a Swiss Quiz card correctly: Pick the right answer in all five questions and state your contact details. All entries must include your first and last name, email address and daytime and evening telephone numbers. There is a limit of one (1) entry per individual. Only one (1) entry per individual will take part in the draw. When you have completed it correctly, drop your Swiss Quiz card in the Swiss Quiz box at the House of Switzerland Canada 2010 in Whistler or Vancouver:

Swiss Quiz cards are distributed in the House of Switzerland Canada 2010 and in selected places in Vancouver and Whistler and can be downloaded from www.houseofswitzerland.org, chapter “Swiss Quiz”.
DURATION: The contest starts at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on Friday, 5 February, 2010 and closes on Friday, 26 February, 2010 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (the “Contest Period”). All Swiss Quiz cards not placed in the Swiss Quiz box in the House of Switzerland Canada 2010 within that time frame will be void.
ELIGIBILITY: To enter and to be eligible to win, entrants must be legal residents of Canada and be over the age of majority in the province or territory in which he/she resides. Employees of the House of Switzerland Canada 2010, Swiss athletes participating in the Games, organizers of the House of Switzerland, Swiss government officials and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of the House of Switzerland Canada 2010 are ineligible to enter. The House of Switzerland Canada 2010 management Team (“Contest Sponsors”) reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner.
GRAND PRIZE: There is one (1) Grand Prize in Whistler and (1) Grand Prize in Vancouver to be won from among all the eligible entries received during the Contest Period. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
Grand Prize in Vancouver
A trip worth CAD $10,000 to Switzerland for two (2) people: Flight Montreal – Zurich return with Swiss International Airlines, seven (7) nights at the 5-Star Superior Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in St. Moritz (based on one (1) room, double occupancy), and two (2) 5-day rail tickets valid for public transportation in Switzerland. The Vancouver Grand Prize is valid until 28 February 2011. Reservations at the hotel subject to availability.
Grand Prize in Whistler
A trip worth CAD $10,000 to Switzerland for two (2) people: Flight Montreal–Zurich return with Swiss International Air Lines, seven (7) nights at the 5-Star Deluxe Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz (based on one (1) room, double occupancy), and a 5-day rail ticket valid for public transportation in Switzerland. The Whistler Grand Prize is valid during the summer season 2010 (25 June 2010 – 12 September 2010). Reservation at the hotel upon availability.
TRAVEL DETAILS: The Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are solely responsible for all costs not expressly covered by the Grand Prize including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, ground transportation, meals, beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation and immunizations, and all personal expenses of any kind, together with any applicable overnight layover. Departure dates and hotel accommodation are subject to availability and change without notice or compensation. The Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the departure point, as the Grand Prize originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas, as applicable, and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements.The Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion and authority, failing which the Grand Prize will be forfeited. It is recommended that the Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. Travel must be completed by 28 February 2011 for the Vancouver Grand Prize and by 14 September 2010 for the Whistler Grand Prize. Blackout periods will be provided to the Grand Prize winner once they have been determined by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is Ten Thousand Canadian Dollars (CAD $ 10,000.00).
Prizes must be accepted as awarded. The Prizes may not be sold or transferred and are not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the prizes in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prizes are unavailable. The prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein. No change in travel arrangements can be made by the winner once the booking has been confirmed.
DRAW: On or after Sunday, 28 February 2010, random draws for the Grand Prize will take place at the House of Switzerland in Vancouver and Whistler from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The first entry drawn will be eligible to win the Grand Prize. The odds of winning a Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The House of Switzerland management team, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the potential winner by telephone the same day. In the event that the potential winner cannot be contacted within 2 days after the draw, he or she will be disqualified and an alternative potential winner will be drawn. Proof of identification must be provided upon request.
Before being awarded a Prize, the potential winner and each potential winner’s travelling companion, or if under the age of majority, his or her parent or legal guardian, will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that he/she has read and understood these official rules and regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, city of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner and/or travelling companion, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize. The winner accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s and each potential winner’s travelling companion’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that the potential winner and/or travelling companion do not comply with all the provisions as set out in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner and/or travelling companion, and draw an alternative potential winner and/or travelling companion, and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner and/or travelling companion, if applicable, shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified winner and/or travelling companion have been duly selected.
LEGAL TERMS: By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions by the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded.
