Swiss Presence in Beijing 2008
The greatest sporting event in China 's history will take place when the summer Olympics are held in Beijing from 8th to 24th August, 2008. The Chinese are very proud to be holding this huge event.
Switzerland is also looking forward to this mega event. At the traditional House of Switzerland 2008 - Beijing it will present itself in all its diversity to a Chinese and international audience.
The official House of Switzerland has been present at Olympic Games since 1998. The House of Switzerland is a hub and a meeting point for decision makers from business and politics. It is also a meeting place for the Swiss Olympic team and in conjunction with the Federation, partners and Swiss Olympic it is used for receptions, cultivating client relations, media conferences and medal ceremonies. Swiss television also has a studio in the House of Switzerland.
The House of Switzerland 2008 – Beijing is open first and foremost to the general public. In the House of Switzerland restaurant we serve our guests with Swiss specialties and in the tasteful surroundings of the lounge we offer further exclusive dishes. Leading Swiss companies also present their quality products and services in the Expo Park.
Who we are
The House of Switzerland 2008 – Beijing is run by Presence Switzerland. Presence Switerland has a mandate from the Federal Council and from parliament to strengthen and to coordinate the presence of Switzerland abroad.
For the House of Switzerland 2008 – Beijing Presence Switzerland has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Lucerne and the Lake Lucerne Region. Together with their economic partners, they present themselves as enticing travel destinations and as a dynamic business location. [+]
